Cow Parade 2012 in Northern Ireland
CowParade is the largest and most popular public art event in the world. It features life-size reinforced fibreglass cows that are painted by local artists and community groups, sponsored by local businesses, and displayed throughout streets, parks, and other public places for a period of three months. At the conclusion of each event, the cows are auctioned at a grand finale for the benefit of CowParade Charity Partners.
Having taken place in over 50 world wide host cities over a ten year period, it is estimated that over 100 million people around the world have seen one of the famous cows.
Here is the cow I worked on with Doagh and Kilbride Primary Schools. Pupils traced around their feet and decorated with images relating to their personality. These were placed on a road swirling around the cows body and puzzle pieces. All their identities and ideas come together as one community.
Belfast Lord Mayor's Parade 2011 with Arts Ekta's theme 'One World'
For the Belfast Parade I made six giant Chinese Puppets and 105 African headpieces. They were carried through the parade by community and youth groups from Ballymena.

Lisburn Mayor's Parade 2011
Trisha Mc Nally and I worked with Nucleus Youth Centre in Hillsborough, Atlas Women's Centre in Lisburn and Tonagh Primary School to create banners for the Lisburn Mayor's Parade 2011.
The ladies at Atlas Women's Centre designed and painted a Chinese dragon onto fabric for their Chinese themed banner.
Nucleus Youth Centre children created an Indian themed banner.
They each designed and painted an Indian paisley pattern on the banner. Then they added an embellished felt elephant.
Tonagh Primary School designed an African banner. They looked at African Kente cloth for inspiration and painted their designs onto fabric.
These Chinese discs were carried in the parade to reflect the sunlight and catch the wind in the ribbons!
